Baby J.

This little dude is turning one soon and is such a cutie! I love his big blue eyes and 2 tooth smile. This photoshoot was a fun way to celebrate the big ONE! Happy Birthday Baby J.!

One Year

Here is a sneak peak of this cute little one year old. More will follow soon!

In honor of Mother's Day

In honor of Mother's Day I thought it would be fun to post a few of my favorite photos of moms with their kids from past photo sessions. To quote Abraham Lincoln, "All that I am or ever hope to be , I owe to my angel Mother."

"Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs in my field, since the payment is pure love." ~Mildred B. Vermont

"The phrase "working mother" is redundant." ~Jane Sellman

"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie." ~Tenneva Jordan

"Biology is the least of what makes someone a mother." ~Oprah Winfrey

"There's nothing like a mama-hug." ~Terri Guillemets

"God could not be everywhere, so he created mothers." ~Jewish Proverb

"Mother's love grows by giving." ~Charles Lamb

And this final pic is not taken by me but of me and my mom on my 1st birthday! I think she is the best mom ever!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

If you couldn't tell, I'm an avid lover of holidays!! Maybe it's just an excuse to make festive food, wear funny clothes and have a family photoshoot-- either way I just have to celebrate. Cinco de Mayo has always been a fun holiday to celebrate because it combines so many things that I love: Mexican food, Mexican food and Mexican food. And maybe Mexican food! So I guess you know what we will be eating for dinner!

This year instead of forcing my son to wear an oversized sombrero while holding a pinata during a photoshoot, I decided that in honor of Cinco de Mayo I would post some of my favorite pics that I have taken in Mexico. It's one of my favorite travel destinations and you can see why below:

This is Calle de Campenero. It's a famous street in Guanajuato, Mexico.

I'm such a sucker for Mexican souvenirs and the pesos leave my hands pretty quickly.

This beach is in Zihuatenejo, Mexico-- otherwise known as sheer paradise!!

There is nothing quite like dining right on the beach. And of course the meal is fish that they caught that day in the ocean right in front of you!

Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.
